Description

St Edward's Preparatory School is Independent Primary school in Gloucestershire for kids aged 1 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

St Edward’s Cheltenham comprises two independent day schools, both located in the heart of Cheltenham. They are a Catholic foundation welcoming students of all faiths and none, whose parents feel that they would benefit from the Christian ethos. Situated on two sites, approximately five minutes from each other, and enjoying over forty five acres of wonderful grounds, together the two Schools provide academic excellence and a nurturing community for boys and girls ages 1 – 18.They encourage our pupils to become fully involved in all aspects of school life, offering an extensive range of extra-curricular clubs, sporting and cultural activities. It is important to us that the pupils are challenged to step outside of their ‘comfort zone’ and realise that they can achieve beyond their perceived potential.

Facilities

Kindergarten
Choosing a setting for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Not only is it essential that your child feels safe, confident and happy in their new environment, but you must also feel comfortable that their developmental needs are being met.We firmly believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support to fulfill their potential. A child’s experience in their early years has a major impact on their future life and provides the foundation for children to make the most of their talent as they grow.

Prep (Ages 4-11)
St Edward’s Prep School promotes a strong sense of family, where all pupils are valued and supported to fulfil their individual potential within an environment of warmth, centredon Christian values. Pupils are individually known and equally valued, whatever their gifts and talents. Great care is taken by all staff to ensure our pupils develop into confident, resilient, compassionate and balanced individuals. They place an emphasis on the formation and development of the young person so that they can thrive in the present and the future. At every stage, Kindergarten, Pre-Prep and Prep the highly skilled and dedicated staff ensure that challenged, supported and celebrated.

Senior (Ages 11-18)
St Edward’s is a school that focuses on the whole person and sees each individual as just that – an individual, rather than a number on a page. They have high expectations of all members of the school community. Excellent teaching and pastoral care, in a nurturing environment, enables each child to thrive and flourish.Small class sizes ensure teachers really understand each pupil and how best to support their individual needs to maximise achievement. Academic achievement will always be at the heart of what we do and, of equal importance, is the support for personal fulfilment and growth.
