South Dr, Romford RM2 6HH, United Kingdom
2-11 Years

Description

St Mary's Hare Park School is Independent Primary school in Havering for kids aged 2 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

The school was founded and established as a Charitable Trust under the management of the Board of Trustees to provide education for Roman Catholic children, however, the school has a rich, multi-cultural tradition and we welcome families of other denominations/religions who are willing to support the ethos of the school. Admission is for girls and boys from 2½ years to 11 years, from our Nursery through to Year 6. St. Mary’s Hare Park is a place which is very special to everyone who comes here – be it as a child, parent or a member of staff. We are all very proud of our school and of the children’s learning and achievements.  We provide a safe, caring and supportive atmosphere in which children can learn, play and enjoy.  Our curriculum offers our pupils rich and exciting learning opportunities and inspires them to do their very best.

Facilities

Foundation Classes (Early Years)
The children at St Mary’s Hare Park all bring their own individual experiences, skills and needs as they start school with us. They aim to value and build on this individuality and provide an environment where they are nurtured and cared for in their early year’s education. The children attend our Nursery class (age from 2.5 years) for agreed sessions across the week and wear our nursery uniform. They attend Reception class (from the September or January before they are 4 years old) or the Transition class (the September before they are 5 years old.) full time and wear our school uniform.

Infants (Key Stage One)
Children continue their learning journey in our infant classes; Years One and Two. The junior classes start with Years Three and Four. Children in these classes age from seven to nine years old.

Upper Primary (Key Stage Two)
The final stage of learning at Hare Park takes the children into our top classes; Years Five and Six (ages nine to eleven).

Features

Things to note

Come and See
At St Mary's Hare Park we use Come and See, a Catholic Primary Religious Education programme for Foundation and Key stages 1 and 2. The child friendly material provided within Come and See allows children to explore the teachings of the Catholic church through the use of age-appropriate resources and activities.

Catholic Ethos
Pupils at St Mary's Hare Park value and actively participate in the Catholic Life and mission of our school. The children have respect for themselves and others and know that they are made in the image and likeness of God. This is exemplified in the way that the children behave towards one another: how they speak and listen, give thanks, notice each other's kindnesses, forgive and are forgiven in turn. Our pupils want to reach out to their community and make a difference in the world beyond the community too, in small ways, and larger ways too.
