St Oswald's Catholic Primary School is a state primary school for kids age 4 - 11 (Gender - Mixed)

At St Oswald’s Catholic Primary School they provide a warm and welcoming community; as a Catholic school, they are deeply aware of the unique nature of each individual and the purpose that each one of them has in following Jesus. They aim to ensure that all children grow to love their learning, that they are happy in school. They are committed to ensuring that every pupil receives learning that enables them to attain the highest levels of achievement possible and that they provide a stepping stone for a positive future for all of them.

They are passionate in our belief that the curriculum underpins all of the provision as a school, and that through it the children should receive outstanding spiritual, moral, social and cultural guidance and, as a result, make excellent progress socially and academically, equipping them to become the good citizens and leaders of tomorrow. They strive to ensure that there is a broad range of enrichment opportunities including free-to-all extra-curricular activities which promote learning, personal growth and development.

Special Educational Needs Information (SEN)
At St Oswald’s Catholic Primary School the SENCO’s responsible for co-ordinating the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities are Miss Jacqueline Jones and Miss Hayley Kirwan.If you have any questions or queries about Special Educational Needs or Disabilities at any point during your child’s time at the school, please do not hesitate to contact Miss Jones or Miss Kirwan, by making an appointment at the relevant school office

Things to note

Extra Curricular
At St Oswald’s they offer the children a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and are fortunate it that they are able to enter a range of competitions for various sporting events. They aim to offer as many children as possible these competitive sports opportunities and build upon the school’s sporting successes.The children earn credits for each session that they attend a club provided in the school.  The credits build up throughout their time at our school and go towards achieving different awards – bronze, silver and gold levels, depending on the number of hours of learning achieved.
