St Paul's Church of England Primary School, Ryhope is a state primary school for kids age 3 - 11 (Gender - Mixed)

The school is in the Wearmouth Deanery and they worship in the school every day. The children feed into Venerable Bede Church of England Secondary Academy so that a continuous pathway of Christian education is offered to all the children. The mission is to work continuously in partnership with the local community to ensure every child is valued as an individual child of God. They will promote a love of lifelong learning to prepare the children to be successful citizens of our ever-changing world. They will encourage responsible risk-taking, creativity and independence within a Christian ethos.They believe that they can achieve the best for your child by developing a close partnership between home and school.

Curriculum
By encouraging children’s aspirations and celebrating success, they aim to inspire the learners to be limitless and to persevere in order to achieve to the best of their ability in preparation for the next stage of their education. They also endeavour to exemplify the importance of developing resilience to all of the children. They want them to be self-motivated problem-solvers who are ready to face any challenge with a pragmatic, healthy mind. We are proud to be part of our city by the sea, however we also want children to be open-minded to the wider world and appreciate the amazing diversity of each other and the neighbours, locally, nationally and globally.To enrich the personal development of the pupils even further, they also partake in class and whole school breakout sessions. These are focused around significant events and celebrations, such as Black History Month and International Women’s Day. These are additional to the national curriculum and are covered in order to raise awareness of some of the issues that our children face as global citizens of tomorrow.
