Welcome to Stratford Girls' Grammar School; a place where bright, ambitious girls succeed. We are enormously proud of our position as the top girls' state school in Warwickshire and we work hard to ensure our permanent ranking as one of the best state schools in the country. We shape futures. People are often surprised to learn that we are not a fee-paying school. It is a common misconception due largely to the destinations and outcomes of our students and our enviable setting on the outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon, both of which are academically and culturally comparable to schools in the independent sector.

Extra Curricular activities
Our curriculum is everything our students do in school, both in and out of lessons. By helping students develop interests and abilities through our Extra Curricular programme, we enable students to develop as confident, skilled young people.
An active involvement in these opportunities has a positive impact on mental health, confidence and self-esteem and invariably academic performance. We are always looking for new opportunities to add to our programme, and encourage students to come forward with suggestions. Several Sixth Form Subject Ambassadors now run clubs for our younger students. In the Sixth Form itself, we dedicate Wednesday afternoons to the extended growth of students beyond academic achievements.
Remote Learning
At SGGS they use the Microsoft 365 suite to help deliver learning and communication tools. This includes Microsoft Teams, Outlook for E-mail, Office, and a range of other tools. Our online virtual school was set up in less than a week following the announcement of school closures in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was made possible by the excellent IT provision already in place.
