Features

Things to note

Cultural Capital and Enrichment
At Talbot, children benefit from a flexible curriculum that builds on what they understand and know already. They believe that celebrating the cultural heritage as a community is critical, as is exposing the children to situations they may not have had previous experiences of. Gradually widening children’s experiences as they progress through school is an important step in providing rich and engaging learning across the curriculum. They plan carefully for children to have progressively richer experiences in nursery and beyond. These include trips to the local park, shops and visits to places of worship, museums, sports and music venues just to name a few.

Extra-Curricular Activities
Activities take place at lunchtimes and after school. Clubs focus on children's interests and are an opportunity to try something new or excel further.  All clubs are free to access.  Information is sent out on a termly basis, but, if you have a specific enquiry, please contact the school office on [email protected] .  The school is also an active member of the Active Schools partnership which means the children enjoy a range of competitive and participatory events during and after the school day.  The partnership with Active Schools also complements our preventative curriculum,  commitment to improving lifestyles and well-being.
