KEY STAGE 3 CURRICULUM
The Key Stage 3 curriculum at Mulberry School for Girls aims to develop our pupils’ learning skills as well as their knowledge and understanding through a rigorous and challenging programme. Beyond the curriculum, there are many opportunities for pupils to participate in enrichment activities, from sports to music, from drama to public speaking events.Pupils will be taught all the National Curriculum subjects and in addition they will also learn to develop essential qualities and skills through the curriculum. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and teachers make full use of this equipment to enhance participation and engagement in lessons. Laptops and iPads are used as learning aids.

Supporting the pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, Mulberry School for Girls is an inclusive mainstream school. ARTS EDUCATION
Mulberry School for Girls believes that having the opportunity to experience and participate in the arts helps to build our young people who become confident, creative, curious and capable citizens, playing an active and positive role in the society.The arts has the power to broaden horizons and transform lives. They believe every student has a fundamental right to access these opportunities. Every student is encouraged to engage with the arts throughout their time at Mulberry and after they leave.

LEARNING
They believe that opportunities for learning outside of the classroom are vital to students’ success and wellbeing. They offer lunch-time and after-school clubs each week, which support students in nurturing their existing talents and developing new skills.This bespoke programme launched in 2019. Incorporating ‘modules’, including sessions on enterprise, university mentoring, trips to university lectures and work experience, this programme enabled students to complete a short course to help them improve their skills and experience for university and higher education. Over 40 Year 12 students took part.
