The River School

Description

The River School is a non-selective, Independent Christian School in Worcester (since 1985), where staff and parents work together to help students discover God’s purpose for their lives. The core values centre on bringing out the best in children; not just academically, but morally, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually. The foundational Christian principles are very important and is fundamental to the way the school operates. The aim for each student is that they are confident, well-rounded citizens with the best character qualities, skills, discipline and knowledge needed to realise their potential and gifts.

Facilities

The extensive grounds at The River School, including woodland, orchards, pond and open fields, are the setting for Forest School. The sessions, which all ages from 2 to 16 participate in throughout the school year, mainly take place in the Dell, a sheltered wooded area, and are led by a fully qualified Forest School leader. They enter a different time-zone in Forest School. There is time and space to see, hear and talk about nature. Forest School allows pupils to grow, learn, and discover their abilities at their own pace.
