Tolworth Girls' School and Sixth Form is State Secondary school for kids aged 11 to 18 (Gender - Girls)

They offer a broad and balanced curriculum, which enables our students to develop an understanding and appreciation of a variety of subjects.  They believe that it is important that the students experience subjects that will prepare them fully for the challenges of the 21st century.  They are equally concerned in developing students’ skills, such as leadership, communication, enquiry, resilience, teamwork, creativity, independence and collaboration, as they are in developing academic achievement.  The purpose of the curriculum is to prepare students for the opportunities, but also the responsibilities for life in modern Britain.  At Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form, they aim for the curriculum to be ambitious, inclusive and to allow the students to succeed. They pride themseleves on being a truly inclusive academy.  Every student matters.  Whatever a student’s ability, they will help them reach their full potential.  They highly skilled SEND Department work closely with parents/carers to ensure the right support is in place.  They individualise the work we do with our students to help your daughter progress and develop.  The Inclusion Department provides a nurturing environment and targeted support for those students in need of additional support.

Curriculum
The purpose of the curriculum is to prepare students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences for life in modern Britain.  At Tolworth Girls’ School and Sixth Form they aim for the curriculum to be ambitious, inclusive and to allow all of the students to flourish. They believe that it is important that the students experience a range of subjects that will prepare them fully for the challenges of the 21st century.  They are equally concerned in developing our students’ skills, such as leadership, communication, enquiry, resilience, teamwork, creativity, independence and collaboration, as they are in developing academic achievement. All students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum; which enables them to develop an understanding and appreciation of a variety of subjects in the Foundation Curriculum (Year 7 and 8) and the Development Curriculum (Year 9, 10 and 11) before specialising in the Sixth Form (Year 12 and 13).  The curriculum is coherently planned and sequenced towards accumulating knowledge and skills for future learning and employment.
