Welcome to the Wetherby Kensington website. They do hope it captures the flavour of what life is like behind the red doors at Wetherby Kensington. I am extremely proud of all of the boys and staff who work so hard each day and do everything that they can to make Wetherby Kensington such a special place, with a happy and vibrant atmosphere.The boys are at the heart of everything they do and they are passionate that all boys enjoy a positive experience at school each and every day. The aim is to provide a first class all-round education in which the unique needs of our boys are met. Each individual boy really matters to us and we pride ourselves on developing confident and happy children with a zest for life and a love of learning.

CURRICULUM
Wetherby Kensington prides itself on the quality of the education delivered to the boys across all year groups. The curriculum is in line with but not restricted by the National Curriculum. The curriculum taught is broad, balanced, engaging and challenging. Our teaching team teach ensure that the boys are working to the very best of their ability and are having fun whilst doing so. The boys learn in bright, spacious classrooms and enjoy first rate educational materials. Our enthusiastic teachers inspire and care for the boys in small classes making sure each child gets individual attention.From entry into Reception through to the end of Year 3, teaching is tailored to meet the individual needs of each boy. We recognise that boys perform best when their interest is fully engaged. We believe firmly that language, literacy and numeracy skills form the foundations of successful learning. In particular, boys are taught to speak clearly and to listen well.

Things to note
CLUBS
At Wetherby Kensington there is a variety of extra-curricular provision. During term time Wetherby Kensington staff and external staff will run clubs. Most clubs start at 3.45pm and finish at 4.45pm.All clubs are for boys in Years 1, 2 and 3. The boys are required to bring a snack to eat before the club starts. This snack should be healthy and completely nut free.

At Wetherby Kensington we believe that pupils should be happy, well-rounded and confident learners who are respectful, thoughtful, sociable and motivated Wetherby Ambassadors. We also believe that the qualities of integrity, kindness and good manners are at the heart of everything that we do. Through our House System pupils can be rewarded individually and collectively for all of these things.
