Facilities

Pre Prep
The staff are highly qualified and dedicated professionals who have an excellent understanding of how children learn and thrive in a developmental, child-centred way. They encourage the children to explore, ask questions and have some ownership of their own learning journey in a way that allows them to make progress across all areas of the curriculum.Windlesham inspires children to become the very best version of themselves. They warmly welcome you to come and visit us in person or virtually to experience the ‘full flavour’ of our department at work and see for yourselves what a superb quality education they can offer your child, echoed in the most recent excellent ISI Inspection.By thinking imaginatively and innovatively, they ignite excitement for learning and also create children who are active problem solvers. A process that is both challenging and full of understanding is far more beneficial and enriching than seeking to be perfect.

Features

Things to note

Sports
At Windlesham, the view is that sports are all about games – and games should be fun! Our approach is that if a child works their socks off, but the outcome isn’t quite what they had hoped for, they look at the value in the process rather than focusing on the target that wasn’t hit. They like to encourage our children to play multiple sports and feel that early sports specialisation isn’t always the best route forward. A well-rounded sports experience fosters better athleticism and is a great way to teach kids to mix with different social circles as well.

Co Curricular
They offer a wide range of co-curricular activities from polo to street dance, they are lucky to have the current European Champion to coach our children Karate. Professional tennis coaching remains our most popular activity with well over 100 pupils taking lessons during the week and due to our amazing swimming pool we have new activities such as water polo.LAMDA continues to get excellent results in a range of disciplines whilst Lego and robotics are growing in numbers – it’s popular with girls as well as boys but there is still always a rush for the cookery club! Wednesday afternoons remain renowned for the creativity and buzz in the textiles department.

After School Club
At Windlesham the school day begins at 8.30am however breakfast and supervision are available from 7.15am if required. When the school day finishes at 3.30pm the children can go to the well staffed and resourced ‘After School Club’ (Windlesham Gems) until 6.00pm with supper until 6.30pm if required.
