  • Meet the animals: Discover some of the most eye-catching ducks and geese from around the globe - plus a couple of otters - on a stroll through Wetlands of the World. Each season brings its star species and spectacles to London Wetland Centre. 
  • Adventure play: Whether you’re darting around like a dragonfly, messing in the mud like a water vole, splashing in the water like a flamingo, or building dens like an otter, the adventure play zones invite creativity, exercise and fun at every turn.

  • Dragonfly festival: WWT London Wetland Centre’s Dragonfly Festival runs from 21 June to 22 September with trails, splash play, workshops, and storytelling included in admission. Special activities include Dragonfly Electronics on 30 July, pottery workshop on 20 August, and Outdoor Macro Photography Exhibition from 21 June - 22 September.

  • Food & Drinks: They have a selection of hot and cold food and drinks for you to enjoy and fuel your wetland adventure. The café opens at 10:00am. Hot food (lunch service) from 11:30am to 3:00pm.
  • Parking: There is free parking for visitors.
  • Picnic areas: There are plenty of spaces and tables with benches for people to enjoy a picnic around the play areas.
  • Chargepoints: 4 public electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints in place, available to visitors at a charge of 35p/kWH, to cover electricity costs.

The London Wetland Centre offers a unique setting for a variety of private functions. They have a variety of rooms available for private functions; our light, spacious rooms provide a ‘rural’ setting but with the convenience of a capital location. Their services, such as catering, can be tailor-made to suit your requirements.

By Car: The centre is located just off the main A306. The postcode is SW13 9WT. There is free parking for visitors.

By Train: There are two train stations which are an approximate 20 minute walk to the London Wetland Centre: Barnes and Barnes Bridge. Barnes station is expecting to become a step free access station from the beginning of 2024. 

By foot or bike: The London Wetland Centre is situated on Sustrans Cycle Route 4, which includes access from the River Thames towpath.
