The River Nedern winds its way through the park, and the wildlife pond is home to a variety of wildfowl.
You can see the 12 pounder muzzle-loading HMS Foudroyant’s cannon in our courtyard. Come and unravel the mysteries of the dark chilling castle dungeon. Caldicot Castle is reputed to be haunted by a number of ghosts. Who will you see before you leave?
The Castle's tower is one of the best places to view the Severn estuary. The castle was built on a spur of sandstone to control the River Nedern flowing nearby. The river was once a tidal estuary navigable for several miles upstream.
Caldicot Country Park: Roam across the 55 acres that make up Caldicot Country Park. There are large areas of woodland, a reach of the River Nedern, and pleasant open parkland to enjoy.
