Deep Sea World in North Queensferry is one of Scotland’s top aquariums, offering visitors a chance to explore fascinating underwater life. From Europe’s longest underwater tunnel to themed exhibits, the park takes you on a journey through oceans, rivers, and tropical habitats. Tickets are £19.75 for adults, £14.75 for children (3–12), £17.75 for seniors/students, £67.00 for families (2+2), and under 3s go free. Special birthday party packages are available for £16.55 per child, including a tour, themed activities, and lunch.

  • Animals: Deep Sea World is full of weird and wonderful animals who all have their own unique features. Scroll through the huge list of our animals and learn some fun facts about some of your favourite Deep Sea World residents.  We are always updating our selection of animals so if watch out for some new additions!
  • The Swamp: An area of land that’s forever filled with water, surrounded by woody vegetation like shrubs, bushes and trees, and thick with foliage beneath the surface, swamps are found all over the world. But there’s more to swamps than that, and they’re full of amazing creatures – some of which you’ll be able to see for yourself in The Swamp exhibit right here at Deep Sea World.
  • Tropics: Discover some of the world’s most beautiful and colourful tropical fish in our Tropics exhibits. From vibrant corals to the sunken remains of Krakatoa, our displays offer a fascinating glimpse at the diversity of life in the warmer waters of the world.

  • Temple of Frogs: Fight through the leaves and branches and discover the beauty hidden within the Temple of Frogs. Step into the Temple of Frogs and prepare to pay homage to that most overlooked of creatures: the amphibian. 
  • Underwater Tunnel: Jump on the UK's longest underwater moving walkway! Experience the water as they do by journeying through our Underwater Tunnel! At 112 metres long, the Underwater Tunnel at Deep Sea World is the longest underwater moving walkway in Europe. Because of its breathtaking size, you can leave the land behind and immerse yourself in the serenity of the water with an incredible menagerie of fish floating around you.
  • Seal Rock: Meet our friendly seals, who are more than happy to give you a wave or even a wee shout when you see them. Go on – don’t be shy! Welcome to Seal Rock, previously harbour!! Here’s where you’ll find our family of resident harbour seals (Phoca vitulina), ready to make your acquaintance and showcase their remarkable intelligence.
  • Mangrove: Where land meets sea, you’ll often find what’s called a mangrove teeming with exciting aquatic life. And with these environments circling the planet on our tropical and subtropical shores, we think it’s only right to educate our visitors about their importance and introduce you to some of the unique animals thriving here!

  • By Car: From the South: Follow signs for Forth Road Bridge. Once across the bridge, take the first exit left and follow the brown tourist signs for Deep Sea World. From the North: Turn off the M90 at Junction 1 and follow the brown tourist signs for Deep Sea World.
  • By Train: There are excellent train services to North Queensferry from Edinburgh, Waverley, and Haymarket stations on the Fife Circle line. North Queensferry is the first station after crossing the Forth Rail Bridge. The train journey is approximately 15 minutes. Deep Sea World is then a short walk from North Queensferry station. Please take extra care when walking to Deep Sea World from the train station as the road goes downhill.
