SEA LIFE Loch Lomond offers an exciting underwater adventure featuring over 1,500 creatures across 7 themed zones, taking visitors on a fascinating journey from the shores of Loch Lomond to the depths of the world’s oceans. The attraction combines native Scottish aquatic life with tropical species, creating an educational and entertaining experience for all ages.

Highlights include the spectacular Tropical Ocean Tunnel where visitors can come face-to-fin with Blacktip sharks and rays, the interactive rockpool experience, and meeting Cub, the cheeky Asian Short Clawed Otter. The aquarium features unique zones including the Lochs of Scotland with rare albino dogfish, the Deep Water Loch with native UK sharks and rays, and Seahorse Cove where SEA LIFE Loch Lomond became the first aquarium in Scotland to successfully rear Big Bellied Seahorses to adulthood. Special sleepover experiences are available for uniformed groups, allowing guests to sleep inside the Ocean Tunnel with marine life swimming overhead.

Standard admission prices are £21.00 for adults and £18.00 for children (2-14), with under 2s free, while anytime entry tickets and combination packages with Loch boat cruises are also available. Parent and toddler tickets offer great value at £20.00 for one adult and one child aged 0-5 years.

  • Otters: Asian Short Clawed Otters are the smallest of all species of Otter. 
  • Deep Water Loch: Our Deep Loch Tank opened in March 2016 as part of our extensive renovations and is home to native species of shark and rays that can be found in UK waters.
  • Seahorse Cove: SEA LIFE Loch Lomond was the first Aquarium in Scotland to successfully rear Big Bellied Seahorses to adulthood!
  • Rockpools: Rockpools are amazing micro-habitats full of incredible creatures! 
  • Tropical Reef: Be enchanted by our rescued Olive Ridley Turtle, April! You will also spot an assortment of amazing rays! 
  • Tropical Ocean Tunnel: Journey through the Tropical Ocean Tunnel, where you can come face-to-fin with Blacktip sharks, rays and other critters of the seas.
  • Sleepover experience: With the Sleepover Experience, you'll have the opportunity to sleep inside our Ocean Tunnel with sharks, turtles and rays swimming above you. This experience is available for uniformed groups.

  • By Train: SEA LIFE Loch Lomond is a short walk from Balloch train station – trains directly from Glasgow Queen Street Monday to Saturday or from Glasgow Central on a Sunday.
  • By Bus: First Bus Service 1, 1A, 1B, 1C, 1E will take you to Balloch from Glasgow, Clydebank, Dumbarton and Helensburgh and you can then stroll through down the riverside walk to us, or you can hop on the 207 from there right to our door.
  • By Car: From the South (M74/M6): The M74 will take you to the south side of Glasgow. On your approach to Glasgow follow the signs form the M73 which will take you to the M8 – Loch Lomond, Greenock. Leave the M8 at Junction 30, for Erskine Bridge. Over the bridge, join the A82 following signs for Crianlarich. Stay on the A82 for approximately 10 miles. You will come to a roundabout indicating Balloch to the right, take this exit (this is the big roundabout with the wooden structure depicting flying geese!). At the next roundabout take a left and at the third roundabout take the second exit. Loch Lomond Shores where SEA LIFE Loch Lomond is situated is directly in front of you. From the North: We are located just off the A82 heading towards Glasgow. Once you have passed Tarbet you have another 16 miles of stunning scenery along the lochside until you get to the roundabout for Balloch (this the big roundabout with the wooden structure depicting flying geese!), where you should take a left.  At the next roundabout take a left and at the third roundabout take the second exit. Loch Lomond Shores where SEA LIFE Loch Lomond is situated is directly in front of you. From the East: Follow the M8 West Bound heading for Greenock. Leave the M8 at junction 30 for the Erskine Bridge. Over the bridge, join the A82 following signs for Crianlarich. Stay on the A82 for approximately 10 miles. You will come to a roundabout indicating Balloch to the right, take this exit (this is the big roundabout with the wooden structure depicting flying geese!). At the next roundabout take a left and at the third roundabout take the second exit. Loch Lomond Shores where SEA LIFE Loch Lomond is situated is directly in front of you.
