Newquay Zoo, located in Cornwall, is home to hundreds of animals and countless plants spread across 13 acres of stunning sub-tropical gardens. It’s a family-friendly attraction where visitors can roam, explore, and connect with nature. As a registered charity, the zoo is dedicated to conservation projects both in the UK and overseas to help prevent species decline.

Visitors can enjoy outdoor play areas like the Tarzan Trail, relax in the peaceful Secret Garden, or explore the beautiful Oriental Garden. Other highlights include Gems of the Jungle, where free-flying songbirds surround you, and the Tropical House, home to snakes, sloths, and exotic insects. For a closer encounter, animal experiences offer the chance to meet species such as red pandas, penguins, and tapirs.

Online ticket prices are £17.27 for adults, £12.95 for children (3–15), £2.50 for toddlers (1–2), £54.09 for a family (2 adults + 2 children), and £14.63 for seniors/students. Gate prices are slightly higher.

Outdoor play areas: Our outdoor play area and Tarzan Trail are the perfect places for your little ones to let off some steam. Complete with climbing frames, swings and slides, it’ll keep your children occupied whilst giving adults a little time to relax!
The Secret Garden: If you would like some peace and tranquillity during your visit, take a stroll through our Secret Garden, located opposite Tippy’s Takeaway. Surround yourself with beautiful trees, plants and wildlife during this short stroll – what native species can you spot?
The Oriental Garden: This beautiful garden showcases a variety of Japanese and Asian plants including Acers and Azaleas. The garden follows a traditional planting style found in Japanese garden design. You can also spot some of our species that are native to Asia, including Prevost’s squirrels, Owston’s civets and short-clawed otters.
Gems of the Jungle: Walk in to this free flying bird exhibit and immerse yourself in the south east Asian jungle. Take a seat on the bench and watch these beautiful songbirds fly around you whilst learning about the plight of song birds in the wild and how threatened they are.
The Tropical House: Our Tropical house is home to some of the world creepiest crawlies, slitheriest snakes and beautiful birds. We also have Roxy and Hadar our two-toed Hoffmann’s sloths who can normally be found sleeping high up in the Tropical House during the day.
Animal Experiences: Our animal experiences allow you to get up close and personal with some of our most popular animals, such as our red pandas, penguins, tapirs and capybara. As part of your experience, you will meet and chat with the keepers – a great opportunity to learn about the animals from the people that know them best.

Food & Drinks: To fuel your adventure at Newquay Zoo there are plenty of tasty meal and snack options, hot and cold drinks and a variety of delicious ice creams to enjoy.
Baby changing: Baby changing facilities located just inside the main entrance to the zoo and opposite the meerkats, towards the top end of the zoo.
