With a wide and diverse curriculum, all children are offered an individual education in small classes (our current class sizes average 12 pupils) with well qualified academic staff; whilst qualified specialist staff support children with LDD.

School days
The School day at Windrush Valley Prep School Oxfordshire is planned around our inspiring and stimulating curriculum which is devised within a nurturing, supportive and positive environment. The core school day runs from 9am to 3.30pm and includes; literacy, language, mathematics, science, technology, human & social, sports, art and music. The variety of activities available within the school day reflects the range, extent and complexity of its provision.

Things to note

Extra Curricular Activities
All children regularly play in the school band, perform in musicals on stage, compete in public speaking competitions and sing in the choir. Our sporting pedigree has resulted in children competing at the highest level in swimming, athletics and cross country. For the last 10 years, our pupils have competed at a national level at the Independent Schools Association championship.

After School Programme
They also provide a comprehensive after-school programme in which children enjoy a wide range of additional activities, including; cooking, first aid, forest school, horse whispering and cycling proficiency.

Admissions to Windrush Valley Private School. We believe that every child deserves the best possible start. With class sizes currently averaging 14, our pupils receive one-to-one attention, and the highest standards of education. We build self-esteem, self-confidence and independence and prepare boys and girls aged 3-11 for a successful future in either the independent or state senior school sectors. Over the last 25 years all pupils have passed their senior school entry examination and attended their chosen secondary school. We combine academic excellence with affordable private school fees and ranked in the top 30 best Prep schools in England by The Sunday Times.

Registering a place at the school for your child/ren is straightforward.  We are always happy to meet with new and prospective parents, either virtually or face to face. You can tour the school, meet the staff and pupils with no obligation. You can book an appointment online via our contact us page or by telephoning the school office.  Following your appointment we will send you an offer letter.  Should you wish to register your child for a place at Windrush Valley School, you will be asked to sign and return the Offer Acceptance Form together with a Registration Fee.
