Blue Gate Fields Junior School is Independent Secondary school for kids aged 7 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

At Blue Gate Fields Junior School, it is the aim to remove all barriers to learning. The Aims, Vision and Values poster, which is displayed throughout the school, expresses the intentions which are underpinned by the mutual respect which flows throughout the whole school community.

The Curriculum
​The curriculum at Blue Gate Fields Junior School is designed to address the knowledge, vocabulary and experience gap that many of the pupils, disadvantaged or not, face. It has been created to enhance the cultural capital of the pupils; to improve life chances; to reflect modern, diverse Britain and to offer access to the best and most current thinking. The curriculum is not static, it will evolve over time as both the pupils and teachers develop and grow. However, it will remain ever true to our vision of ambitious, high quality teaching and learning with the whole child and their needs at its centre.

Things to note

Special Educational Needs (SEN)
A pupil may be placed on our Special Needs register if a teacher has concerns about their learning progress at school or if they have a problem with hearing, vision, speech, behavior or mobility.  This means that the teacher and other adults working with that pupil are paying particular attention to their needs.  They may ask that the pupil gets extra help from a specialist teacher who works in the school.  The special educational needs co-ordinator will talk to the parent about the programme planned for the child and will regularly review their progress.
