Curriculum
At Cheam Common Junior Academy we aim to foster a lifelong love of learning, through adopting a curriculum which will ensure that our pupils are prepared for life in the twenty-first century. Our curriculum is designed around the LEO Pupil Outcomes and is delivered in a highly practical and thematic way. Subjects are taught in their own right and they ensure there is a range of opportunities and enrichment activities for cross curricular learning throughout each unit. The academic achievement, wellbeing and character development of our pupils is at the heart of our curriculum offer and they regularly review our provision to ensure that it is relevant, engaging and challenging for all.

Sport & PE
Cheam Common aims to provide outstanding physical education through innovative teaching. They inspire healthy lifestyles, promote respectful competitive values for all of our pupils and encourage a lifelong love of sport. At Cheam Common they use the profile and benefits of PE & Sport as part of an aid for whole school improvement. They use the P.E & Healthy Schools policies to highlight the importance of sporting values throughout our school, such as leadership and sportsmanship, to encourage positive behaviour and a sense of responsibility through leading by example and encouraging the rest of the school to follow these values.
Extra-Curricular Clubs
At Cheam Common Junior Academy, they offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, running before, during and after school. A majority of these clubs are completely free-of-charge and are run by our full-time P.E. specialist. These can be booked onto at the beginning of each new term. All children are welcome and encouraged to join at least one club every term. There is a small charge for highlighted clubs. Please collect booking forms from reception or print from the email sent home.
