All classes have access to additional support form Learning Support Assistants and Bilingual support.
The school has three playgrounds, a field, a computer suite and a library. There is a hall which is used for Collective Worship, dance, music, gymnastics, games, drama and school productions, as well as for school lunches.
Outdoor Learning: Christ Church is committed to giving children the opportunity to learn in the outdoor environment. They believe that taking learning outside is good for promoting children's self-esteem, well-being, behaviour, co-operative learning and problem solving. These skills feedback positively into classroom work and support the main curriculum- particularly Literacy, Science, Maths and the Creative Curriculum. Outdoor Learning is normally delivered within the natural environment of our own school grounds. Learning is tailored to meet the needs of individuals within that group and is continuously developed as the children grow in confidence, skills and understanding. They allow learners the time and space to develop skills, interests and understanding through practical, hands on experiences. The sessions are not activity based but instead are led by the interests of the learners. Children may enjoy such experiences as building shelters, telling stories, hunting for mini-beasts and making mud pies.
After School Clubs: They run a variety of different clubs for our children to take part in during the day or after school covering a wide range of areas. There are some fantastic and fun clubs which are run by the very committed staff and experienced coaches: Please keep a look out for information on clubs for 2022/23 soon!
Breakfast Club: Breakfast Club is held each morning between 8.00 and 8.45am in the school hall. The aim at Breakfast Club, is to provide a safe, calm environment at the start of the school day. Children have the opportunity to take part in a range of activities, such as reading, board games, dance, physical and mental games, or just talk with their friends.
