Durlston Court Preparatory School is a Independent Primary School for kids aged 2 to 16 (Gender - Mixed)

The purpose is to provide an exceptional education for every child. This starts in our wonderful Kindergarten, through the Pre-Prep Department and then onto the Middle and Senior  School. Whenever your child joins the school you can be sure that they develop happy, confident and successful children who flourish in an inspiring and nurturing environment where learning opportunities are limitless.

Facilities

They are currently arranging personalised visits on a date and time that is convenient for you and your family. You will be welcomed by the Headmaster and other senior staff and be given a tour of our extensive grounds and facilities. You will have the chance to see the school in action and to meet pupils, teachers and support staff.

Admission Details

 

We welcome new starters at any time - in any year group, at any point in the year (provided there is space available). Children settle very quickly at Durlston, making new friends and we pride ourselves on knowing all of our children well. We are a non-selective school and children can join our Kindergarten department when they have celebrated their second birthday. Other departments of the school are:

  • Pre-Prep - Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (4 - 7 years old)
  • Middle Prep - Years 3 - 5 (7 - 10 years old)
  • Upper Prep - Years 6 - 8 (10 - 13 years old)
  • Senior - Years 9 - 11 (13 - 16 years old)

Scholarships

A Durlston Scholar will be provided with the opportunity and support to extend within a specialist area. Our talented Heads of Department will share their passion for the subject and nurture individual talent. Additionally, scholars will receive a financial discount of around 5%. It is possible to achieve a scholarship in more than one area.

Application and examination will take place in January for the following September.
