Features
Things to note
The curriculum offers unique opportunities for:
Building self-esteem,
Building study skills,
Building a love of learning.
The curriculum develops excellent academic standards by each child following their own personalised learning programme. This is designed specifically in order for them to make maximum progress. Their learning is reviewed weekly and their work programme is adjusted to reflect strengths and weaknesses. They know children need to practise core skills every day; reading, grammar, spelling, verbal reasoning, arithmetic and times tables are learnt best in a focussed morning session. These skills once acquired enhance all future learning; your child will be a lifelong learner on graduation from EJS. The remaining curriculum is exploratory, self-initiated, exciting and inspiring, promoting thinking and a love of learning. They use visits and outside spaces as often as possible to enhance all areas of the curriculum.
