The curriculum is intended to promote a sense of aspiration in children to do their very best. Through excellent teaching we are committed to delivering an inclusive, creative and engaging curriculum covering the requirements of the National Curriculum and beyond. Curriculum design is carefully sequenced, monitored and regularly reviewed to ensure learning is progressive, cohesive and relevant to the children in our school.
SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
They believe that all children excel with an outstanding education, an enriching curriculum, supportive family/carers and staff who are dedicated and caring. All learners are unique with differing strengths and interests and they work to these to motivate and instil pupils with confidence. They prepare all of the children for the wider world by supporting where necessary, whilst developing their self-efficacy, resilience, independence and life skills. They understand the importance of Quality First Teaching in the classroom, focussing on inclusive strategies such as ‘sensory friendly’ and ‘Dyslexia friendly’ classrooms that benefit all of our learners.
School Clubs
All clubs need to be applied for every term. Please do not assume if your child is in a club this term that they will automatically be in the club again next term. Lists of participants and waiting lists are held in the school office so please do not approach the teacher of the club asking if your child can join. Please ensure your child is keen to be a part of the club before signing them up to avoid causing disappointment for those really keen to be involved. If you have difficulty with payment for any club please contact Mrs Bateman. Non payment when the club starts may result in your child losing their place.
Breakfast and After School Club
At Holy Trinity School they have a fantastic facility for looking after your children out of school hours. At Kingfisher club we can offer wrap around care from 7.45 am at breakfast club until 6.00pm after school. We are very fortunate to have our own premises based on the school grounds so we can drop off and pick up children from their classes. Most of our children join us in reception and stay with us through to year six. So we’re lucky to see our children flourish through-out their primary years at Holy Trinity.
