Sheen Mount is a thriving three form entry school, situated in attractive, spacious grounds with excellent resources, teachers and support staff. All staff have the highest expectations of all the children and want to give them every opportunity to achieve their very best. They are constantly evolving and improving in order to make the school the best it can be; they want to give children the very best start in life and ensure they are happy lifelong learners.

Curriculum
At Sheen Mount, they follow the national curriculum but we determine how we plan and deliver it, alongside other important learning experiences, to give the children the very best chance to achieve their potential. the curriculum is broad, balanced and challenging and they are constantly developing and adapting it so that it can continue to be successful. We have the highest expectations of our children and encourage them to be ambitious and aspirational in their learning and in the quality of the work they produce. A love of reading is promoted and children are encouraged to read widely to deepen their understanding. They provide rich learning opportunities which build on the children’s existing understanding and life experiences and reflect their diversity. They expect the children to develop the essential skills and knowledge they will need to be well educated and creative young people who are ready for every opportunity that they will encounter. The curriculum is planned and sequenced so that new knowledge and skills build on what has been learnt before, with clear end points, and we think carefully about preparing children for the next stage of their education.

Welcome to Sheen Mount Primary School. They are a large, inclusive school committed to ensuring that all children have equal access to outstanding teaching and learning, irrespective of their starting point. They have high expectations for all the children and engage with a range of professionals to ensure that those children that face challenges are supported effectively and aspire to achieve their personal goals.

Clubs
Staff-led clubs will be made available to book on Arbor on Friday 16th December 8pm. A wait-list will not be held for staff-led clubs as, except for choir, they are bookable each term. Please note these clubs usually book up quickly. If there is availability left after sign-up closes on Wednesday 4th January (so staff have time to update the registers to teachers) parents will be emailed.
