At Marshgate Primary they hold the highest expectations of success for all our children.  They ensure this through the delivery of a stimulating and challenging curriculum and an excellent learning environment.  The high specification building is set in landscaped grounds with spacious play areas, green areas, Ecology area and pond.  The building is equipped with the very latest technology both in the classrooms and in our additional specialised teaching rooms. They hold regular open tours for prospective parents/carers.

Curriculum
The National Curriculum is taught at Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) and at Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5, & 6). The National Curriculum subjects are English, Mathematics, Computing, Science, History, Geography, Music, Art, Physical Education, Design Technology, Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) and Religious Education.In Reception, your child will be taught the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. This prepares your child to begin the National Curriculum in Year 1. The Early Years Foundation Curriculum covers seven learning areas: three 'Prime' areas - Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Physical Development;Communication and Language; and four 'Specific' areas - Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World; Expressive Arts and Design. 

Eco School
At Marshgate, they are keen to learn about how they can make our contribution to creating a sustainable world and now have solar panels on the roof.  The children’s actions have led to the award of Eco Schools status; they have the own Eco Code and are well on the way to addressing the Government’s Sustainable Schools criteria. Marshgate also has solar panels on both the main building and the Year 6 Annexe.The school also has an Ecology Area which has a pond and a vegetable growing area.  The children enjoy spending supervised time in the Ecology Area planting seeds.  Groups of children also spend time helping to keep the area clear and tidy.

At Marshgate Primary School they offer a wide range of school clubs for children in Year 1 to Year 6.  Please refer to the list of clubs about how to sign up for the different clubs. They are pleased to let you know they are introducing new and exciting clubs for the autumn term including: French and Spanish, Knitting, A new Cooking Club, London Park City Football (Year 1)
