There are many reasons why our academic performance is consistently strong, but being a ‘hothouse’ isn’t one of them. Firstly, they specialise in the early years, and are able to help girls grow into themselves and discover their passions. They instil academic rigour but with a rounded approach – encouraging curiosity, originality, critical thinking, resilience and collaboration. Girls are gradually emboldened to take responsibility, and assessed regularly to ensure they’re being challenged and supported in equal measure.

Clubs
They have over 55 clubs on offer and one of the widest selection of extra-curricular activities available for girls to choose from. Clubs range from bridge to gardening, football to choir, and crafts and dance. Clubs are held at lunchtime and after school.
Learning Support
The Learning Support Department carefully monitors each individual girl’s progress and within Key Stage 1 (ages 4-6) girls are sometimes given additional support in small groups, within the classroom setting. Groups may have extra support in reading, writing or maths, and occasionally 1:1 help is provided.In Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11), whether showing exceptional aptitude or even the mildest learning difficulty in a particular subject, girls are given additional support within the classroom setting. Small groups may also have extra support in reading, writing, maths or reasoning skills as appropriate; if required, and after discussion with their parents, girls can be referred for 1:1 or small group specialist teaching on site.
