Lime House School is a fully indeendent co-educational boarding and day school based in the North of Cumbria, close to the Lake District and the Scottish border, they are passionate about providing the best education possible to prepare students for success in their adult lives. They provide a co-educational private education, either day or boarding, for 7 to 18 year olds.

Lime House is a school where music is celebrated and our talented students can often be found giving impromptu concerts in one of the many communal areas or a more formal recital on the grand piano in the beautiful hall. Alongside music in the curriculum, all students have the opportunity to learn one or more musical instruments and many take advantage of this, lessons can be individual or shared - there is an additional cost.

Scholarships are currently awarded to recognise exceptional academic ability or special talent in Sports, Art, Drama and Music. All scholarships are awarded solely on merit and the number of awards will depend on the quality of the field. Candidates may enter for more than one award. Scholarships are tenable for the duration of a pupil’s time at the School, subject to continuing good performance.
Financial help towards the payment of fees is available in the form of bursaries which vary in size according to circumstance, all requests are dealt with sympathetically. Bursaries are means-tested and are made at the school’s discretion. The pupil in question must satisfy the academic entry requirements and parents who feel that they may need the support of a bursary are encouraged to discuss the matter with the school well in advance of the due date of entry.
