Lyme Brook Independent School is a privately run school based in the North of Staffordshire. This school is owned by Prestige Adolescent Care & Education Ltd and provides a bespoke curriculum for Looked After Children that are in our care.Lyme Brook Independent School seeks to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through development-appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. As a school, they will also encourage where possible the opportunity for the pupils to access mainstream education if deemed appropriate. The school promotes a safe, orderly, caring, supportive environment. Each student’s self-esteem is fostered by positive relationships with students and staff. They strive to have our parents, carers, teachers, and community members actively involved with the pupils’ learning.
 

Facilities

At Lyme Brook Independent School they try and provide a bespoke curriculum to meet each individual pupils needs. The school works closely with the homes and the therapeutic services to provide a holistic school environment where all pupils can thrive.

Things to note

All children placed with Prestige Adolescent Care and Education have the opportunity to benefit from therapeutic services. Where appropriately identified in their Care Plans, each young person has time allocated as part of the weekly planner to work with a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and to engage in the many forms of therapeutic support.It has been shown in the past that children benefit vastly from this approach and can learn a wide array of new skills and experiences from therapy. It also allows the children the opportunity to express their feelings, past, present and future.
