Madani Academy is the first Muslim faith school in Portsmouth, located in the centre of the city. We are an independent school, which first opened its doors to pupils in September 2014 as Madani Academy Primary School.Having set a strong foundation with the Primary School and receiving a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted in June 2019, we were granted permission by the DfE in July 2021 to establish a Girls Secondary School Alhamdulillah. Madani aspires to provide the highest quality of education, teaching the Department of Education’s National Curriculum in a nurturing and safe environment, enriched with Islamic ethos. The school is a warm and vibrant community, with the dedicated staff endeavouring to not only maintain but continuously improve the quality and standards of care and education for all our students.

CURRICULUM
The Curriculum is based upon the British National Curriculum, enriched with Islamic values and teachings. The aim of our curriculum is to provide opportunities for all the pupils to learn and achieve; to promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and to prepare pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life.

PARENTS’ EVENING
Parents’ evenings will be held twice a year. The first will be held in the last week of the first half-term of each new academic year. The purpose at this meeting is to share your child’s learning targets so that you may support him/her working towards achieving them. The second is held at the end of spring term and after mid-year reports are sent home, to allow the opportunity to discuss the progress of your child and the support he/she may still require to meet his/her targets.
