Open Mornings: You are also welcome to join for a Whole School Open Morning, which is held on the first Saturday of October each year, where you will be able to meet Early Years' teachers and take a tour of the whole Prep School from Reception though to Year 6.
Dabble Afternoons: Join for a fun and interactive Dabble Afternoon. The sessions are for children joining Reception and also provide parents with an ideal opportunity to meet and interact with families and children of the same age. They can also arrange taster sessions for entry into Years 1 to 6 where places are available.
Taster Days:They can arrange for your child to spend a taster day in their prospective class at a time to suit you. Your child will be accompanied by a 'buddy' from their class who will help them find out more about the school throughout the day. They will have the opportunity to sample an exciting mixture of academic lessons, co-curricular activities, sport, social time and meals.
Individual Visit: Book an individual visit at your convenience to meet the Head of the Prep Department, Mrs Claire Belk, and enjoy a tour of Bellan House. Please allow one and a half hours for this visit.
Register with us:They encourage you to register by completing the Registration Form and fee as soon as you are ready; once they have this, you are then included on the list of applicants for the appropriate year and will be contacted for taster days and scholarships.
Senior School (11-16):
Open Mornings:You are welcome to join for a Whole School Open Morning, which is held on the first Saturday of October and the early May bank holiday each year, where you will be able to hear Headmaster speak, meet teachers and take a tour of the Senior School by one of the Prefect or young Oswestrians. You are also welcome to stay and enjoy a delicious school lunch.
Taster Days/Nights:They can arrange for your child to spend a taster day and/or night, at a time to suit you, so that they can get to know Oswestry School better. Your child will be accompanied by a 'buddy' from the same year group to sample a mixture of academic lessons, co-curricular activities, sport, social time, meals and, possibly, time in one of the boarding houses.

Sixth Form Entry Procedures:Entry to the Sixth Form is based on an interview and a confidential report from a pupil's current school (an additional mathematics test is requested for potential international pupils). For pupils where English is not their first language, an English assessment is also required. All pupils are expected to achieve a minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), plus a grade 6 in subjects they wish to study at A Level.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available for candidates showing evidenced talent in, and commitment to, Academic subjects, Art & Design, Design & Technology, Languages, Performing Arts, and Sport. Scholarships can be worth up to a maximum of 20% of school fees. Additional financial support is available through a means-tested bursary.
