Admission Details

11+ ENTRY: 11+ Assessment Day takes place in October prior to the year of entry. Girls visit Queen Anne’s to sit a written English paper, online Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning. 

13+ ENTRY: For 13+ entry girls sit the ISEB Common Entrance exams. The exams take place mid-January and girls are tested in English, Mathematics and Science. In addition to the Common Entrance exams girls sit papers in Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning (CEM). 

16+ ENTRY: In addition to passing Entrance Examinations, offers are conditional on achieving a minimum of six 9-6 grades at GCSE (or equivalent), including in the subjects to be studied at A Level, together with a satisfactory reference from your daughter’s current school. Papers are set in English and mathematics and those applying for a scholarship sit a scholars’ essay paper.

Scholarships

Queen Anne’s School offers scholarships for entry at 11+, 13+ and Sixth Form based upon merit to encourage the promotion of excellence across all aspects of school life. Scholarships are offered for entry at 11+, 13+ and 16+ and are awarded for excellence in one or more fields of the life of the school. Awards may be made in respect of Academic Excellence, ArtDramaMusic or SportAcademic scholarships are awarded as a result of the entrance or internal examinations. The school will normally award an academic scholarship up to a maximum of 25% of day fees and two other academic scholarships.
