Features

Things to note

Personal Development
The Personal Development curriculum aims to promote the importance of the Queensmead values to students and they are planted firmly within the PD lessons. They aim to ensure that students leave Queensmead as responsible, respectful and active citizens who are able to play their part and become actively involved in public life as adults. Students will have one hour per fortnight of Personal Development on a rotating timetable. Every year group has a different focus each half term and lessons are tailored to their current stage of development. These lessons are structured to slowly build each student’s confidence in the topic areas and to ensure they receive a broad curriculum of Personal Development from Year 7 to Year 13. These lessons are often supplemented by presenting speakers and performances from outside agencies, to consolidate students’ learning.
