St Christopher’s The Hall is an independent preparatory school for boys and girls, aged 4 to 11, in Beckenham, where we are committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning. We want all of our pupils to fulfil their potential through a combination of challenge, support, fun, smiles, encouragement and praise.My vision for education involves inclusive teaching so that every pupil can run his or her own best race and building a firm foundation for both the next stage in their education and the rest of their lives. Delivering on this promise means that we have to work hard to ensure that each and every pupil is happy and well supported on their journey with us. We want every child to blossom and grow, believe in themselves and feel that anything is possible.

At St. Christopher's, they have a friendly and open atmosphere in which the children are encouraged to maximise their potential and to work and play to the best of their ability. We believe that a happy, caring and secure environment is vital to the development of the child as an individual, where good manners and respect for others are highly regarded and learning is structured and fun.

School Clubs
St. Christopher's offers a wide range of co-curricular opportunities for children in both the Lower School and Prep School.  Some clubs are run by staff and others, such as Dance, Judo and Chess, are led by external specialists.

School trips and visits
Children in all years from Reception upwards are engaged in active learning outside the classroom through a broad programme of trips and visits.  These range from day visits, such as a Reception trip to High Elms Country Park and Year 2 visiting The Tower of London, to outward bound residential trips in the Prep School and a 3 night stay in France for Year 6.  The School also enjoys frequent visits from external theatre companies and other specialist speakers.

Selection Criteria: Selective

Admission Details

Entry to the Preschool takes place at the start of the academic year (September) in which the pupil will turn 4 years old. The children attend for 5 mornings a week, with an option of up to 3 additional afternoons (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
