House & Museum: Explore our permanent exhibition telling the story of Forty Hall & Estate through the families who lived here, from Master Haberdasher and Lord Mayor of London Sir Nicholas Rainton in 1629 to the Parker-Bowles family in the mid-20th century. As well as engaging text panels you’ll find history brought to life through audio, beautifully crafted period furniture, archaeological finds, architectural discoveries, hands on children’s activities and more!

Home to one of Britain's finest country houses, the Grade II listed estate offers a perfect mix of formal gardens, woodland and meadows.
Elsyng Palace: The Historic interest of the Estate pre-dates the house. Venture a little further from the house and you will find yourself walking in the footsteps of kings, for hidden beneath the grass lies the remains of the Royal Palace of Elsyng. The site is considered to be of national importance and has been designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Dogs: Dogs are welcome in the gardens and parkland, however, your dog must remain on a lead in the Walled Garden.
