Facilities

Early Year Foundation Stage
They have designed every aspect of the curriculum with these aims in mind to create a happy and productive learning experience for the all children. From the warm welcome on the door, the calm routines, the beautiful indoor and outdoor environment, to the inspiring experiences organised to link in with our learning, we are passionate about making the most of every opportunity!Early Years Foundation Stage is made up of Nursery and Reception classes. The fabulous Nursery offers 15 hours and 30 hours provision for our 3-4 year olds, whilst the 2 form entry Reception year is the first step in ‘Big School’ for our 4-5 year olds. The curriculum involves half termly themes, such as ‘Celebrations’ or ‘Fairy Tales’, whilst we carefully structure the day to balance short adult-led learning, with longer child-led learning sessions.

Curriculum
There are never quite enough hours to cover all the things they would like the children to learn and experience. Year 1 children study 12 different subjects; children from Year 2 upwards study 13. They are very keen to ensure that children receive a broad, balanced, connected and dynamic curriculum. In the first place, we want them to reach the highest possible standards in reading, writing and mathematics. But it is equally important to us that they have a full entitlement to enjoy learning in other subject areas. To that end, teachers have been provided with clear guidance regarding how much time should be allocated to different subjects.
