  • The dedicated PE Department provides opportunities for pupils to be involved in individual and team sports at every level.
  • They offer a myriad of co-curricular musical opportunities to girls across all age groups and abilities, and dedicated Music Department encourages a love and appreciation for music of all genres in pupils from a young age. 
  • Art is fundamental to a child’s development, their curiosity and understanding of the world around them. 
  • Clubs are an integral part of each day at JAGS Junior School, allowing pupils to develop skills and interests far beyond the curriculum. There are countless clubs that pupils can choose from, and these range from sports clubs to Art Club, International Cuisine Club, Sewing Club and Coding Club.
  • There are four Houses at JAGS, each inspired by a significant figure in history. The House system provides endless opportunities for pupils to build friendships across year groups and to enjoy some healthy competition amongst their peers. 

Extra Curricular

  • There are regular performances both at JAGS and in the wider community, both formal and informal, for pupils to build their confidence and explore their own musical style.
  • Our vibrant and innovative Drama Department provides our pupils with endless opportunities to explore their intellectual curiosity and to take risks. As a result, pupils develop a wide range of qualities such as creativity, confidence, tenacity, and individual and group awareness.
  • Our Art Department offers pupils the opportunity to express themselves and develop their creative talents far beyond the curriculum. Pupils can explore painting, mixed media, textiles, print, 3D construction, ceramics and digital media both in and out of lesson time. 
  • On any day here at JAGS you will find an extraordinary array of clubs, activities, fixtures, rehearsals and performances.   • There are four Houses at JAGS, each inspired by a significant figure in our history: Caroline Bettany, pioneering Headmistress, Lilian Clarke, innovative Botany teacher, Margaret Desenfans, sponsor of Dulwich Picture Gallery, and Gustav Holst, inspirational Music teacher. Inter-house competitions take place each year in singing, drama and sports, not to mention the huge range of challenges, from making catapults to creating sustainable house bunting. Girls from all year groups work together to try to finish on top in the friendly rivalries! There are also regular House Assemblies, and each House chooses a charity to raise money for each year.

Admission Details

Joining at 4+ Reception (Pre-Prep School): They encourage applications from children in a variety of educational settings, as well as from those who may be schooled at home. Junior School Termly Tuition Fees (from 1 September 2023)

Pre-Prep

Acceptance deposit £2,000 (to be refunded in final bill or donated to the bursary fund)

Termly

Tuition fees: £6,705 (payable by direct debit)

Lunch costs: £263.50 (Autumn 2023), £216.75 (Spring 2024) and £187.00 (Summer 2024). This is £4.25 per day and includes optional mid-morning milk.

Prep

Acceptance deposit £2,000 (to be refunded in final bill or donated to the bursary fund)

Termly

Tuition fees: £6,705 (payable by direct debit)

Lunch costs: £330.75 (Autumn 2023), £267.75 (Spring 2024) and £231.00 (Summer 2024). This is £ 5.25 per day.

Senior School

Senior School Termly Tuition Fees (from 1 September 2023)

Acceptance deposit £2,000 (to be refunded in final bill or donated to the bursary fund)

Termly 

Tuition fees: £7,575 (payable by direct debit)

Lunch costs: £393.75 (Autumn 2023), £318.75 (Spring 2024), £275.00 (Summer 2023). This is £6.25 per day.
