Curriculum
All students at Littleover Community School follow a broad and balanced curriculum, which reflects the needs of our students and national priorities. It allows students to develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the adult world now and in the foreseeable future. They aim to develop confident and successful young people, who enjoy learning and appreciate the value of learning and qualifications and who grow into confident, responsible citizens ready to make a positive contribution to their local community and to society.

SEND at LCS
The ‘Special educational needs and disability code of practice: 0 to 25 years’ (2014) states that “A child or young person has SEN if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for him or her.” At Littleover Community School (LCS) they believe that all students should be valued equally and must be given every opportunity to achieve their potential, both academically and socially. Through the school’s SEND Policy they actively seek to identify and remove barriers to learning and achieve inclusion within the school community. They consider ourselves to be a caring learning environment where students with SEND are inspired to develop high aspirations and independence to help them address and cope with future challenges.
