OneSchool Global UK Reading Primary Campus is Independent Primary school in Wokingham for kids aged 7 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

OneSchool Global UK Reading Campus is an independent school with a vibrant atmosphere, good results and a clear vision for the future. The board of trustees work closely with the teachers to provide an education that meets the needs of all learners within our non-selective intake. The school has a Christian ethos and a strong community feel where students, parents, employees, trustees and other stakeholders have a sense of belonging and ownership.The vision for the future will see us move to an increasingly learner-led style of education where students take responsibility for their own learning, and teachers increasingly act as a ‘guide from the side’. This move to a more relevant self-directed style of education requires the leadership of a passionate senior teacher to inspire students, manage, coach and co-ordinate staff, and drive the teaching and learning to a new level of excellence.

Facilities

Learning and Teaching
OneSchool Global has adopted a self-directed approach to learning. In self-directed learning (SDL), it is the student who takes both the initiative and the responsibility for their learning. In essence, our students are “learning to learn.” The self-directed journey is one in which students learn to think critically, to process information perceptually, to analyse data accurately and evaluate situations intelligently in order that they fulfil their true potential.Students begin to integrate self-directed learning into their approach in Year 3. This is accomplished with the use of student diaries in which students set out their goals for learning and reflect on how and whether they have achieved those goals. As they progress through the lower school, they take more and more responsibility for the process of their learning until they reach the high school environment, where the majority of student learning is self-directed.
