We are ambitious for all of our students and therefore intend to equip them with the knowledge, skills and personal attributes to progress into useful and fulfilled citizens.They believe that the curriculum shapes the students’ futures. They want the students to develop a love for learning. They therefore deepen their academic knowledge through a formal curriculum which focusses on enquiry and investigation. The students and staff at Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College understand the power of specialised knowledge and gain expertise in subjects. They learn independently, express themselves clearly and set themselves high expectations. Our intention is that the accumulation of prior knowledge is used by our students to make well-informed judgements. Integral to our curriculum is the expectation that all of our students will challenge themselves to set the highest goals in learning, behaviour and relationships.

They are committed to the precept that every pupil, regardless of ability, should be provided with educational experiences which will enrich their development and allow them to reach their full academic, creative and social potential. In so doing, we are guided by both statutory requirements and by the need to respond to perceived local, in-house and individual circumstances. Our focus is on preventative work to ensure that our pupils’ special educational needs are identified as early as possible and that early action is taken to meet those needs.

Extracurricular Activities
There is always plenty to do in school! The following clubs are just a taste of what they offer. They run Monday to Friday in groups to suit all ages at lunchtimes and after school, and some (such as breakfast club) early in the morning before school.
