Pre School
S. Anselm’s Pre-School offers a first class early education for children rising 3, providing a joyful and safe environment in which to explore, form new friendships and prepare for entry to Pre-Prep.Our vision is to provide the very best start to a child’s education and they do this by planning and delivering high quality and inspiring lessons and activities that encourage an enthusiastic approach to work with a real sense of fun and desire to learn.The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum forms the basis of our Pre-School provision and our Pre-School teachers are devoted to providing the highest standards of education and care.  They work together to provide a nurturing environment and exciting and appropriate challenges that enable children to develop their early potential and thrive when the progress to Reception and beyond.Plenty of good quality and creative educational resources is an essential part of the learning experience as children learn most effectively through exploration and play.

Pre Prep
S. Anselm’s Pre-Prep is a lively, vibrant environment, rich with opportunities, where children develop in confidence and independence within our happy and caring community and the foundations are laid for later success. Development of the full child – each as individuals – is at the heart of our teaching approach and they pride ourselves in the way they nurture children in our care, both academically and pastorally. The main aim is that all children come to school happily so that each child can reach his or her full potential. They stress the importance of a caring attitude towards others and help the children to develop good relationships within the school.The Pre-Prep Curriculum provides a broad education, which balances the best of traditional and modern methods of teaching in order to stimulate and challenge the child.

Preparatory School

Beyond the Classroom
They feel it is very important that learning is not confined to the classroom and embrace opportunities to enrich children’s wider learning experiences throughout the Prep School.We are fortunate in our central location within the UK, which makes travel to most destinations feasible in a school day – be it to visit an exhibition, historical site, geographical exploration or to see a major sporting fixture.If they can offer children the opportunity to attend a concert, theatre performance or match, then they will.

Extra Curricular Activities & Clubs
The extensive variety of clubs and extra-curricular activities at S. Admission Details

Entrance to S. Anselm’s is non selective, however entrance is at the discretion of the Headteacher and from the Pre-Prep upwards, the offer of a place is subject to an interview. The school has a Christian ethos but welcomes children from many different ethnic groups, backgrounds and creeds.
