Entry to St Paul’s is by competitive examination and interview
1. Submit the completed registration forms together with a copy of the candidate’s birth certificate and a cheque for £125 (not applicable for those families applying for a bursary only place) to cover the registration fee.
2. All candidates will complete an on-screen time-limited cognitive ability test covering verbal ability, mathematics ability and non-verbal ability to identify potential. This is an hour-long test and will be taken at the candidate’s current school.
3. Successful candidates from the computer assessment will be invited to sit our entrance examinations in English, Mathematics and Comprehension. Students will sit a shortened version of our normal examinations with 45 minute long papers rather than 75 minutes in previous years. This will allow us to operate the exam day in-person and in a safe manner at St Paul’s. We will shortlist girls for interview based on these examination results.
4. Following success in the entrance examinations, girls are invited for an interview. These will probably take place remotely on Zoom or another similar platform and will focus on the student’s academic potential through interaction with stimulus material
5. The final results will be sent out to parents by email.
6. Acceptances to offers of a place need to be with the school by this deadline, together with a deposit of 50% of a term’s fees although reduced deposits apply for successful bursary candidates.
