St Teresa's Catholic Primary School, Aspley is a State Primary school for kids aged 4 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

Here you will find a warm, friendly welcome from Staff, Pupils, Governors and Parents but there is more to them than that. They are an efficient and effective teaching establishment working to very high standards and dedicated to continuous improvement. At St. Teresa’s they all aim to work together to ‘do the little things well’.We hope this website will give you an insight into what makes St. Teresa’s the school that it is proud to be. Curriculum
St Teresa’s offers an exciting, engaging, broad and balanced curriculum which ensures that all children are able to acquire a wide range of knowledge and skills and take part in many different experiences. Underpinning the curriculum is our commitment to ensuring that every child acquires the basic skills necessary to become a successful learner while also developing a love of reading. Within this, they ensure that the children are exposed to a range of opportunities which support their social, moral, spiritual and cultural development. They follow the Learning Challenge approach to our curriculum. All children are taught through engaging half termly topics which revolve around a big question. Each week, smaller questions are explored to help find the answer to the overarching big question. This approach spans the whole curriculum but ensures that the basics of reading, writing and mathematics are acquired and applied in different contexts.

Breakfast and Afterschool Club
From June 7th 2021, Nottinghamshire YMCA will be running our brilliant before and after school clubs here at St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School. The childcare clubs are fantastic places to spend time before and after the school day, packed full of fun, creativity and STEAM learning. Children are cared for by YMCA role-model Play Leaders, and benefit from healthy snacks, inspiring activities and learning about the Core Values: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Caring. YMCA is part of the oldest youth charity in the UK, so creating a fantastic session for every child is at the heart of what they do.
