1-90 Years

Description

They are the Friends of Wandsworth Common, launched in May 2018 and now with an amazing 600+ members. The Friends work to engage the community in the protection, conservation and enhancement of the Common. They work closely with the Management Advisory Committee (the MAC) which has advised the Council and its agents on the Common’s management for 35 years.  Together, we aim to foster balanced use, mutual respect and understanding among all users. You can learn more about us and join up through the buttons below. They hold regular nature focussed walks and talks to introduce people to the natural delights the Common has to offer. We have resumed face to face events but still meet over zoom as well. Our walks - birds, trees, wildflowers, fungi, butterflies etc - take smaller numbers than they used to, but this seems to work better for all concerned. However, they do book up very quickly so we operate a wait list.
