Oaks International School is a small and flourishing independent day school, specialising in the education of children aged 2 – 11 years old, from the UK and overseas. The school is situated within a park with access to woodland, open space and fresh air. Small class sizes and a family feel enable the children to develop as individuals within a calm and nurturing environment.They promote a culture of international mindedness, where all children and staff value different cultures, embrace diversity and know the importance of different perspectives on all areas of life in our increasingly inter-connected world. Our children learn from an early age to respect the different cultures and languages of their classmates and enjoy making friends from Cambridge and around the world.

Facilities

Nursery
The warm and welcoming Nursery is located in the Early Years area of the Primary School.  This allows children from 2 – 4 years old the space to grow and thrive in a stimulating environment whilst providing the best introduction to learning.  There are two classes, Ducklings for 2 – 3 year olds and Cygnets for 3 – 4 year olds, allowing the children to have an age appropriate routine which will encourage your child to seek new challenges in a safe and caring environment.Your child will be supervised and cared for by experienced and fully qualified Nursery and Early Years Practitioners and overseen by our Nursery Manager.  All carers are also experienced in working with children who have English as a Second Language

Primary School
Cherry Hinton Hall is home to the Nursery & Early Years (age 2 to 5 years), Infants (age 5 to 7 years) and Juniors (age 7 to 11 years).  It is conveniently located on the edge of central Cambridge, making excellent use of the surrounding Cherry Hinton Park.Cherry Hinton Hall provides a light, modern and spacious environment for children to pursue their individual intellectual curiosities. They learn in vibrant and stimulating surroundings both within the school and in the outdoor area and surrounding parkland.

Extra Curricular
At OIS they encourage our students to gain new skills and discover new interests.  Clubs are held at school during lunch and after school and offer an opportunity to push boundaries and explore activities outside of the classroom.  They also allow students across different year groups to work together as a team.The majority of our clubs are included in the fees, however there is a charge for some clubs and parents are made aware of this.  We offer a wide range of activities to ensure that there is something of interest to everyone.
