Description

St Thérѐse of Lisieux Catholic Primary School is a state primary school for kids age 3 - 11 (Gender - Mixed)

As a Catholic school, the aim is to provide a context of Catholic education in which children develop a personal relationship with Jesus and their lives are enriched with Gospel Values. The school mission states that in order to ‘Live in Love’ we are called to “Love God, To Love Each Other, and to Love Ourselves.”They are very proud of our school and our children are an absolute joy. As the mission states “they enjoy relationships that are rooted in love, trust, and mutual respect” as a foundation for successful learning. St. Thérèse of Lisieux is a happy, welcoming place to be: all members of the school community work closely together; the positive support of the parents and the wider community is extremely important and they are very grateful for their contribution. They seek to work in partnership at every opportunity as we all want the very best for our children.

Facilities

Curriculum
At St Therese of Lisieux they aim to provide the highest quality primary education that will equip our pupils with a life-long love of learning. The pupils will be filed with an irresistible desire to question, explore, investigate and discover more about themselves and the world in which they live. They will develop an appreciation for and generosity towards the people, the world and the universe around them.

RE Curriculum
Religious Education is at the core of the curriculum and we believe that children learn best when teaching is delivered in a creative, inspiring and engaging way. The pupils enjoy exploring their spirituality and deepening their understanding of their faith through art, music, drama and dance. They are keen to take a lead in developing their own learning journey and sharing their faith with others.

Things to note

Special Educational Needs
A special educational need can be a number of different things. For example, your child may be having problems with reading, maths or behaviour, which school can help by putting extra support in at school and by working in partnership with yourself. It may also be due to a disability which makes it harder for a child to use the same educational facilities that the school provides for the majority of children. For some children this may be a temporary difficulty, while others may have a long term need for special help.Children learn and develop in different ways. Teachers recognise this and use different teaching styles, resources and plan different levels of work in the classroom to cater for the various ways children learn. This is called Quality First Teaching and is something schools must provide for all children.  However, many children, at some time in their school life, need extra help.
