The school will be exceptional and provide children and adults a breadth of exciting opportunities promoting curiosity and broadening the mind. They will build positive, challenging partnerships with each other and the wider community promoting aspiration and ambition.Established in September 2013, our Trust consists of 13 primary schools throughout the Rotherham Borough. The Trust was founded on, and is guided by, a strong ethos centred on improving the life chances of all children regardless of background or ability. They aim to deliver high standards of teaching and learning through developing a culture of high expectation and high aspiration, providing a rich, broad and balanced curriculum and ensuring that all learners have equality of opportunity.

CURRICULUM
At Wickersley Northfield Primary they follow the National Curriculum objectives and expectations. It is the vision that all of the pupils, from any background, will be supported to excel both academically and socially, developing the skills of lifelong learners.The school values of child-centred, collaboration, curiosity and challenge are at the heart of the whole school curriculum and everything that they do. The pupils work collaboratively, learning and supporting each other to maximise their achievements. They embrace new learning and promote curiosity in all learning activities, always striving to improve and develop pupils’ knowledge. They set the pupils aspirational targets and provide challenge and support to ensure they get the best out of all the pupils.

Things to note

CHOIR
The school choir, led by Miss Evans, practise at lunchtimes and perform at many events throughout the year. At Christmas, the choir performs for our community at the local library and at the Tanyard.

SPORTS TEAMS
the after school sports training sessions are run by Live and Learn. The children enjoy training together and taking part in a number of different tournaments throughout the year.

BREAKFAST CLUB
The breakfast club is run by school staff. It opens at 7.45am – 8.45am and is accessed through the Foundation Stage entrance (right hand side of the main entrance). The children have access to games/activities in the KS1 hall, toast and juice in the Sandwich hall. The cost of a session is £3.00 and places must be booked and paid for in advance, on the Arbor app.
